Visual Threshold

The project covers small open spaces along Akerselva in Oslo. The site I worked on was Vøyenfallene, a waterfall situated beside an industial area by the river. The given exercise was to create an installation that would emphasize a sense.

To accentuate the visual sense, a small pavillion was created of cast concrete which included a covered patio and a sitting arrangement. This would shield the waterfall from view when first entering the site. However, when the space is enered, the focus would then be on the water falling.
