As a starting point for this project, I analysed Sverre Fehn’s Villa Norrkoping to find the main principles of this house. The geometric plan, with a wet core, is encircled by different spaces created by means of sliding walls. By using pastels, I analysed various patterns of movement which were created by the different positioning of these walls. In this way I was able to see how the house could be adapted to different situations.

The program of this particular project is a hostel which will house up to eight people. The plan follows the principle of a symmetric plan with a quadratic core. The hostel continues the principle of the sliding walls, which makes it possible for the house to adapt to the number of visitors and different needs.
